FFA National Convention

National FFA Convention was a great experience. We traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana, where we stayed for two nights at the Drury Inn.

When we arrived Wednesday at noon, we headed straight to the convention center in Indianapolis, Indiana. At the convention center we walked around shopping and collecting free prizes that each stand was handing out. We were encouraged by our advisor to find other FFA members from other states to sign our maps for their state.  After walking around, we went to the Rascal Flatts Concert that night at the Lucas Oil Stadium.

Thursday morning we got up early in the morning and attended the first session of the day. At the session we learned that we cannot choose our background, but we can paint over our background and start fresh. After the session we went to the local mall, went shopping, and grabbed lunch at the food court. The best part of the mall were the massage chairs in the store. After the mall we headed to the convention center again where we did more shopping and played cornhole with other FFA members. When we went to the hotel for the night where we chilled out and played euchre.

Friday morning we loaded up the van and got things ready to go as we were heading home that night. We started the day taking a state FFA picture, then headed to another session where we watched others receive awards for their SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience). We then spent some more time at the Convention center before it was finally time for us to leave for the rodeo.  At that point we loaded up the vans and went on our way. The rodeo started at 6:30 p.m. and we stayed till 7:30 when we were all ready to head home.

At this convention we all learned different techniques and skills on how to be leaders in our chapter.
