Multiple FFA members participated in the Greenhand Conference on September 10th. Six members of Red Bud FFA that are freshmen and sophomores attended this conference. They participated in many activities including stations put on by the Illinois state officers, district 5 section president and SIUC collegiate FFA members. These stations were designed to teach the members about teamwork, communication, and other effective team bonding activities. There was over 600 people at this conference, so they also spend some time getting to know each other better, and other people from FFA chapters in the area. Sydney Kassing, a Freshman that attended the conference says her favorite part was, “definitely meeting new people and getting an introduction to the way FFA works.”
