On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, Red Bud High School’s Boys and Girls track team participated in the Monroe/Randolph Bi-County Invitational hosted by Waterloo High School. There were seven teams including Chester, Columbia, Christ Our Savior Lutheran, Red Bud, Sparta, Gibault Catholic, and Waterloo. With the warm weather, the girl’s team placed third overall with 68 points, and the boys placed fourth overall with 61 points. Gavin Baldwin placed first in the 100m dash with a time of 11.3 seconds, and second in the 200m dash with a personal record time of 23.13 seconds. Brayden Howard placed second in the high jump with a jump of 1.82m and also placed second in the long jump with a jump of 5.87m. Jeda Friess placed second in the 400m dash with a time of 1:05.77, and fourth in the 100m hurdles with a personal record time of 18.71 seconds. The girls 4x800m relay team placed second with a time of 12:04.01. Aubrey Piel placed third in the 800m dash with a time of 2:43.37. Annabeth Ohlau placed third in the discus with a personal record throw of 24.10m. Carolyne Mulherin placed third in the long jump with a personal record jump of 4.23m. Luke Miller placed third in the 1600m with a time of 5:12.50. The boys 4x200m relay team placed third with a time of 1:41.71. The girls 4x200m relay team placed third with a time of 2:06.99, and the girl’s 4x400m relay team also placed third with a time of 4:56.90. Austin Krebs placed fourth in the discus with a throw of 35.00m. Anna Wolter placed fourth in the 3200m with a time of 14:42.33. Joseph Hanger placed fifth in the 3200m with a time of 12:39.52. Landon Luthy placed fifth in the shot put with a throw of 11.22m. Tess Simpson placed fifth in the 400m dash with a time of 1:07.40 and also placed fifth in the high jump with a jump of 1.37. Addyson Piel placed fifth in the 800m dash with a personal record time of 2:54.42. Hailey Hollowell placed fifth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 19.19 seconds and also placed fifth in the 300m hurdles with a time of 1:02.23. Addi Tallman placed fifth in the shot put with a personal record throw of 8.39m. The boy’s 4x100m relay team placed fifth with a time of 53.25 seconds. The boys 4x400m relay team placed fifth with a time of 4:03.54, and the boy’s 4x800m relay team also placed fifth with a time of 10:14.47.
