Color a World Without Cancer

The 18th of February had the Main Gym occupied by the festival, Color a World Without Cancer. The creators of the project are Kim Schaefer and Deb McCutcheon. They came up with the idea to help raise money for their Relay for Life teams. There are even suggestions of the event becoming an annual exposition for the school to host.
Several vendors were in attendance; a few were selling goods for the cause, while others simply showed their art. Paintings were also being created during the fair. Viewers were able to listen Mr. Meyer on the guitar and Pam Wegener on the piano, throughout the whole 3 hours. Mrs. Brundage had a table where she had an instruction on basket weaving; the high school’s art club did face painting; and up-and-coming senior Cora Trask had a table where she was selling some of her stunning stippling work. Tables were occupied by muralists, jewelers, and photographers. There was a selection of baked goods available in the gym lobby as well. With more than 20 vendors, most of whom are willing to attend again, the exposition is likely to be held next year around the same time of year.
