Boy’s Golf Week 4

The Boys Golf team was excited to start the second half of their golf season with a match against Wesclin on Tuesday, September 6th at Governors Run Golf Club. The top scorer for the team was Ryker Papenberg who shot a 44. Captain Owen Stallings followed right behind with a 46. Third for the team was Cash Langrehr who shot a 50. The final varsity spot was filled by Will Simpson who shot a 53. The Musketeers fell to the Warriors by a score of 193-174.

On Wednesday, September 7th, the team traveled once again to the Roland Barkau Memorial Golf Course to play against Okawville, Mascoutah, Carlyle, and Marissa. Papenberg was the top scorer for the team firing a 36 with an eagle on the par five hole seven, tying his personal best in match play. Jaden Kadlec and Kruz Koester claimed the second and third scores, shooting 40s. Kadlec and Koester both shot their new personal career bests during a match. Langrehr shot a 41 for the fourth score, also his personal best in match play. The Musketeers were thrilled with their performance as they shot their best team score of the season with 157. The Boys beat Carlyle (188), Marissa (173), and Okawville (162). They lost to Mascoutah who shot 147.

Next week the Boys Team has two matches. The first is a match against Steelville on Monday, September 12th at Pyramid Oaks. The second is against Freeburg on Thursday, September 15th at North County Country Club.
