The Red Bud Musketeers Girls Golf Team started their second week of competitive play with an away match against Sparta and New Athens on Tuesday, August 23rd at the Sparta Country Club. Annabeth Ohlau was the medalist and the lowest Musketeers’ scorer with a 43. Brenn Wilson was close behind Ohlau with a score of 44. The third score came from Melayna Crafton with a 54 and then Raeleigh Rosson with a 55. The Musketeers won the match against the Bulldogs by a score of 196-230. New Athens did not report a team score.

The second match of the week for the Girls Golf Team was against Freeburg, Waterloo, and Belleville West on Thursday, August 25th at the Acorns Golf Links. Ohlau was the low scorer for the team with a score of 43. Wilson was right behind Ohlau with a score of 46. Crafton took the third spot with a score of 61 and Rosson took the final fourth spot with a score of 62.  The Musketeers shot 215, beating Freeburg’s score of 239, but losing to Waterloo’s 171 and Belleville West’s 214.

The Girl’s schedule for this week includes tri-matches against Dupo and Trico on Monday at North County Country Club, Granite City, and Father Mcgivney at Arlington Greens on Tuesday, and Valmeyer and Sparta on Wednesday, also at home.
