After a long stretch of scorching heat, the RBHS Cross Country team experienced a break in the weather for their October 3 meet at Chester. The meet was held at Randolph County Lake and provided a challenging course with hills throughout the wooded area. 11 boys teams and 8 girls teams participated with a total of 173 runners. With the cooler weather came multiple medals for the team members.

The meet scored the runners by freshman/sophomore and varsity, respectively.  The freshman/sophomore runners that medaled were Ethan Summers (19B) and Simone Liefer (19G).  The varsity runners also did well, with Calyn Hartmann (9G), Adrienne Vallett (13G), Ellie Shure (17G), and Eddie Miller (7B) all bringing home medals.

The cross country season is more than halfway through.  The constant work is paying off for the runners as their times keep improving.
