FBLA Competes
On January 11th, the Red Bud FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) packed up and headed off to the Southern Area Conference. At the Conference, members participated in competitions and seminars. Our members either took test on computers prior to the competition or they performed and competed in person at the competition.
The members who took the test prior participated in one of two seminars. One seminar was focused on how to make money within a business. It covered the many different ways to increase a business’ revenue and how to incorporate them into a business. The other seminars encourage the participants to get out of their comfort zone and taught them how to break the ice with people they are meeting. It taught them how to make connections with people and get to know people in history.
After the seminar, every person there met for updates, thanks, and to learn how the competitions went. We had four winners from our school: Alex Sievers got 3rd place in Computer Problem Solving, Caleb Langrehr got 2nd place in Personal Finance, Owen Fahey got 1st in Introduction to Information Technology and Paul Cowsert got 3rd in Introduction to Information Technology. Congratulations to all our winners. FBLA will be heading to State Competition April 6-7.
