MLB Baseball Preview
Baseball fans rejoice as the MLB season approaches on the horizon. Major free agents Yu Darvish, J.D. Martinez, and Eric Hosmer have all signed long term deals with the Cubs, Red Sox, and Padres. Another major free agent, Jake Arrieta has yet to sign with a team, but is in talks with the Phillies. The Yankees will be crowned the kings of the AL East due to their recent trade for reigning MVP Giancarlo Stanton and young slugger Aaron Judge. Cleveland Indians will win their 3rd straight AL Central title, but will choke on their own spit in the first round again. The powerhouse of the Houston Astros lineup will propel them to yet another AL West victory. Bryce Harper will lead his Washington Nationals to their last NL East title before he signs with the Chicago Cubs in free agency after the 2018 season. The Colorado Rockies will take a big step in their history and win the NL West thanks to 45 home runs by Nolan Arenado. Finally, the Chicago Cubs will embarrass the “improved” Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals and snatch the NL Central crown for the 3rd year in a row. My World Series prediction is that the Chicago Cubs will top a slugging New York Yankees in 7 games. Yankees and Cubs game 7 at Wrigley Field is going to be an epic pitchers duel featuring C.C. Sabathia and Kyle Hendricks, ending with walk off home run by Anthony Rizzo off the gigantic Wrigley Field video board. Enjoy the 2018 season MLB fans, it’s going to be a good one.
