Lady Musketeers Begin With An Exceptional Tournament
Last week, November 13-18, the Lady Musketeers began their season with the annual Sparta Tourney. The Musketeers arrived with a vengeance and spent the week putting up basket after basket. Beginning on Monday night, the team brought home a win over Sparta 51-19. They quickly followed up on that win with another over Steeleville (42-22) Tuesday, Trico (48-19) on Wednesday, and Chester (49-15) on Saturday. Friday night the girls met with their only loss from Sesser-Valier (36-48). With the win over Chester on Saturday, the ladies earned the Second Place Trophy of the Tournament.
Sophie Richards and Sophia Koesterer were named All Tournament players — Congratulations Girls!
The home opener takes place tonight, Tuesday, November 21st against Valmeyer (Varsity) and Columbia (J.V.). Good luck ladies and keep the baskets coming.
